Library
The function of the library is to provide the information services needed by the Academy. There are currently nearly 10 000 volumes in the library, consisting of monographs on artists, books on the history and theory of art, as well as other study literature. The library subscribes to 60 Finnish and foreign periodicals on art and culture, and it has an online connection to LINDA datebase, the union catalogue of Finnish University Libraries, to ARSCA database, the union catalogue of Finnish Art University Libraries, and to many other libraries and databases (see library's links). NELLI (National Electronic Library Interface), the national information retrieval portal is also in use. NELLI can be used to search a multitude of different resources. Material from graduation works made in the Academy is deposited for keeping in the library. The library is fitted with e-mail and Internet connections; there is also a Studio for videos and CDs available for students during library hours.
